Push Boundaries in Materials Research with Data Science & Analytics

Machine learning and artificial intelligence tools conduct an increasing percentage of tasks. However they cannot replace two key human characteristics—understanding and creativity.

The NRT integrates creativity, data science and analytics and materials research into a cohesive doctoral program to prepare students for the evolving workplace. Our approach is motivated by emerging federal priorities seeking to accelerate advanced-materials discovery, innovation, manufacturing and commercialization.

If you qualify, you will be eligible for an NSF NRT fellowship that includes a generous stipend, tuition and fee waiver, and a travel budget.
